Supplementary Nutrition for 15 Preschool Children

Samaaveshi provides supplementary nutrition to 15 preschool students, including 2 children with disabilities, on a daily basis (Mon-Fri). A majority of these children are from low-income Katkari (ST) communities who do not have access to adequate nutrition.
WHY? Upon recording their height and weight data every month, we found most of these children are either underweight (average 13 kg), or have mild to severe nutritional deficiencies. Hence, we decided to provide a small bowl of seasonal fruits, dry fruits, peanut chikki and millet-based snacks at 3 pm, before they leave school.
Please support our supplementary nutrition project. Total cost = Rs 20/child/day x 20 working days a month = Rs 6,000 per month.
